Securing Safe Food was born out of the pandemic as a grassroots effort to address the urgent need for safe, allergen-friendly food options. We believe in providing more than just medically safe food—we recognize the importance of culturally relevant and sustainable allergen-friendly options.
SSF is also dedicated to transparency. We want to assure you that your donation is being used effectively to improve food security and to empower communities with food allergy education.

2024 at a Glance
“We focused on building our partnerships with food manufacturers and like-minded businesses, expanding our food pantry network in strategic locations, and tailoring our food shipments to meet pantries’ needs. But our most significant growth was internal, as we renewed our mission and commitment to revolutionizing U.S. food bank culture. Realizing our work crosses multiple spheres in the food system, we are making strides to promote sustainability and food recovery alongside access to safe, nutritious food.”
Please note that our fiscal year runs from 8/1 to 7/31 each calendar year. Annual report 2024 reflects the fiscal year 2023 Form 990-EZ filed with the IRS in Fall of 2024.
